Litecoin projected to be the next best crypto for May

Litecoin (LTC), one of the first cryptocurrencies, has the potential to deliver you financial success this May.

Financial investments have been popular since the creation of currencies, and in 2022, people want to know where they can best invest their hard-earned money to create even more money.

People considering investing in cryptocurrencies have most likely heard bizarre anecdotes about how a tiny investment at the start of a specific network might result in a large financial gain.

This is possible; however, to achieve a lucrative destiny, you must be aware of cryptocurrencies that have a high probability of becoming a good investment.

Litecoin (LTC): The silver to Bitcoin’s gold

Litecoin (LTC) originally launched in October 2011, shortly after Satoshi Nakamoto's blockchain technology Bitcoin (BTC), which is regarded as the pioneer of crypto and Web 3.0.

LTC originated on the Bitcoin network and was first used as an alternative to BTC. Despite the two oldest cryptocurrencies having shared features, Litecoin stands out for its efficient speed, maximum security, and powerful encryption.

The currency aims to make transactions cheaper, quicker, and more efficient than Bitcoin. It uses the same proof-of-work consensus technique to handle transactions, allowing miners to confirm and add them to the blockchain.

The blockchain also employs a peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to improve interactivity and integration among traders.

Charlie Lee, a former Google employee and computer scientist, created LTC with the intention of making it a "lite version of Bitcoin," with many of the same qualities but a lesser weight.

Despite being more than a decade old, the currency remains among the top 20 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap.com as of 9 May 2022.
