Peggy Gou launches new fashion label ‘KIRIN’

South Korean, Peggy Gou, music producer and businesswoman, has announced her own fashion company KIRIN.

It is indisputable that both music and fashion have a strong correlation with each other.

With some of the music industry’s most prestigious artists and producers, it’s evident that they want the audience to pay close attention to their attire.

From wearing bagging clothes with a multi-coloured style to advertising high-end designer brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton is one of the world's most prominent global fashion brands

Whether it’s for a music video or live performance, it is definitely important for a person in the music industry to retain a striking external image.

Therefore, it makes sense why Peggy Gou decided to launch her independent fashion label KIRIN (translating in English to giraffe).

Virgil Abloh, the current artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear line, has supported KIRIN.

The brand would be best defined as unique high-end streetwear with colourful and bold colour blocking designs incorporating mythical Korean themes.

The company sells a wide range of garmets, including futuristic trench coats, multi-patterned jeans, matching logo print pyjamas, sweatshirts with mystical imagery, and vibrant bucket hats.

Gou, 29, has had an incredible year so far, appearing on the 69th installment of the DJ Kicks mix collection and released her debut music video for the single 'Starry Night'.

Furthermore, Forbes magazine listed Gou as one of Asia's under-30 leaders, entrepreneurs, and pioneers. You can find KIRIN clothing in all of the world's biggest fashion marketplaces.
